About the Team

We are going into our 10th year playing together! We started playing in the fall of 2014. With Halloween approaching what better time of year to try and learn the Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ dance with your friends, and then turn that into the name of your new softball team with the colors of orange and black!

Our logo was designed by one of our subs. It is a werewolf’s hand grabbing a softball!

In our 10 years together we have won 3 championships, the most recent being last fall which is shown in the team picture I attached.

Given that this is a beer league, we always have a cooler or two, or more of Labatt Blue and Blue Light available.

We like to have fun as this is a social beer league. It’s not tryouts for the majors, and we want to keep it that way!

We have our fair share of nicknames and inside jokes. I’m referred to as ‘Skip’ after the upcoming hall of famer/prior Detroit Tigers Manager Jim Leyland. We have a ‘Evelyn’ in the outfield (from the movie A League of Their Own) who use to have trouble hitting the cut off and the name just stuck!

We have a player who we call ‘Speed Turtle’ as she rounds the bases, and our catcher is named Cheryl and her famous chant is ‘Cheryl Takes Two’ as she is the one to take not just one, but two shots during post game celebrations!
